Fishing lure

Known as an iqalujaq, the lure was an object used for fishing. It is shaped like a small fish. There is a hole at one end for attaching the lure to the line.

In addition to angling, it was used for spearfishing. The lure was wiggled with one hand to attract fish, while the other hand threw the spear. It was also attached to a kayak as a fishing charm.
