This model kayak is shown with its hunter. On the flat deck rest the main instruments used for hunting: harpoon, spear, snow knife and unwinder, all held in place by straps.
This model is typical of the kayaks used in southwest Greenland:
a long, narrow hull, shallow draught, and low bows that only allow navigation in calm waters, particularly during the summer or in fjords.
Reinforced bow and stern, with a long whalebone strip running along the hull to prevent the skin from tearing when grounded on ice.
Price: €1,600
