The upper part of this mask is adorned with a small strip of leather held in place by three ivory pegs for the attachment of feathers, which have now disappeared.

A very similar model, but covered with white pigment, is preserved in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New-York (Inv .A. N. 2011.154.158.)
